I grew up in Beirut, Lebanon and moved to Canada in 2015 to study at the University of Toronto. As a confused teenager who had no clue what he wanted to do when he got older, I applied to every type of engineering. I ended up being accepted into the Industrial Engineering program.
Studying Industrial Engineering changed my life. It allowed me to discover and tinker with a range of subjects, including design, programming, and business. It was perfect for a curious systems thinker like me. Although many subjects interested me, I was the happiest and most energetic when designing solutions for people. The process of hypothesizing, prototyping, testing, and iterating, made me feel like a technology scientist. And I love it.
So far, I've gained years of experience as a Product Designer in multiple industries, including tech, finance, retail, and telecommunications. I've also built and launched several of my own products that you can find on my Projects page (mostly failures, but many lessons were learned!).
When I'm not doing all this stuff, I invest many hours shouting at my TV while watching Manchester United play. It has definitely shortened my expected lifespan, but I love that team way too much.
